Fashion Product Photography.
We are proud to have been chosen photographer to photograph the latest collection for Mar Y Viento boots. This was a labour of love and not a hard shoot at all. The collection was shot over a couple of sessions on various locations in Staffordshire.
Product photography isn’t always about white background and shot in the studio. Sometimes to showcase a lifestyle, it is better to be shot on location using natural daylight to encapsulate the essence of the product and delivering the correct message of the brand so the consumer really desires what they see in the photograph.
Company director and footwear specialist Irina certainly knows everything about quality in her collections. Using only the finest skilled craftsmen and luxury quality leather form Spain. The collection is a total exclusive to Mar Y Viento and not be mass produced for the high street.
The collection comes is a beautiful array of colours to brighten up any winter outfit or to add some class to a pair of jeans.

For this commercial photo shoot we discussed in detail all the elements Irina required during the photo shoots and we delivered lifestyle portrait photographs alongside individual shots of the shoe and boot collections with close up shots of the detail embellishments on the heels of the boots. These detail shots are so important to the consumer so they can see every detail of the product and can purchase with confidence
This shoot took place in winter we had to add some little tricks of the trade to give the high end magazine style feel to the photographs. The light is very dark during the winter months so adjusting camera settings is essential. The images were shot in manual mode to ensure consistency. By using the correct lenses and apertures that allow plenty of light and control depth of field this really bought the boots to life. Finally, with a subtle edit it turned a dark winter day into a day with a spring feel.
